Started in 2016, Rombus represents the future of strategic accounting firms. We’re niche enough to deeply care about the work we do and get actively involved, whilst having a firm base of proven skills and diverse business experience.
We’re a team of young, skilled, performance driven, consistently curious individuals. We do things differently: getting the work done but typically taking a left-field approach to make sure it stays done…
Perhaps our biggest differentiator is our humanity. We aren’t “accountants”. While accounting might be the common denominator for our engagement with you, it’s not the solution we want to provide you with. We want to help. To deeply understand. And to work with you to consistently move you towards your definition of “success” and all that this involves.
What we do
We’re driven by numbers and the story behind them. Our starting point however is you and your business. Understanding your why, and how it has unfolded. What it has evolved into. From there we gain an understanding of the roadmap that lies ahead, and how we can work with you to deliver on this.
This involves empowering you and your team operationally to get your finances working: equipping you with the tools you need to interrogate, understand and manage your business’ financials. This means not only helping you understand the figures, but also what they represent in reality: what they’re really telling you about your teams, your performance and delivery, as well as your markets and clients. We seek to understand the past in order to frame the future. We’re massive fans of meaningful conversations – so that we meet you where you’re at and are very clear about expectations, next steps and deliverables.
That being said, we’re also very open to new ideas and change. Because we see accounting as behavioural as opposed to transactional, it should be used as a driver for positive good and positive growth within your business. This might mean implementing the latest technology or delegating specific responsibilities to someone we help you upskill. It could also mean the very gradual introduction of a new system and process that doesn’t disrupt your business process and team.
